Nigel Baker

Nigel Baker is the Founder of Arch Capital and brings over 26 years of experience in financial services. As both a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner, he has built a reputation for delivering strategic, tailored advice to retirees and high net worth clients seeking clarity and confidence in their financial future. From humble beginnings, Nigel has grown Arch Capital from the ground up to over $600 million in funds under advice, reflecting his disciplined approach and unwavering focus on long term client outcomes.

Nigel's areas of expertise include: Retirement planning, wealth structuring, investment strategy, and intergenerational wealth transfer. He specialises in guiding clients through complex financial decisions, helping them preserve capital, generate sustainable income, and achieve financial independence. His practical, no nonsense approach is underpinned by deep technical knowledge and a strong commitment to long term client relationships.

Outside of work, Nigel is deeply committed to community and personal challenge. He has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and organising entrants to raise funds by entering the Noosa triathlon. He has also been heavily involved in grassroots sport, serving as President of the Newport Junior Rugby Club. Nigel's lifelong connection to rugby includes playing for Lindfield Juniors, Newington, Old Millhillians in London, Saracens (London) and Gordon Rugby.

When he's not working with clients or supporting the community, Nigel enjoys staying active, he's a keen skier and tennis player, and continues to work on improving his surfing and golf whenever he gets the chance.
